  1. Thank you Racquel. I can’t wait to check out your link.
I would like some guidance when it’s time. Just to get me started in the right direction.

    1. I have three published books. Two of them are poetry based on the pain and suffering of those with chronic illness and chronic pain. My 3rd book is about my own personal journey through 30 years of fighting to find out what was wrong with me. I have three others that are started. Two of them are nearly finished. After having severe osteoporosis, I took two falls. In 2023, I fractured my collarbone, shoulder blade, and two ribs. It took over 8 months to get my collarbone surgery. It would not grow back together. Later in 2023, I fell and fractured my left femur down by my knee prosthesis. I had to have major surgery on it. I did my rehabilitation at home. I lost one of my pups when I fell in 2021 and fractured my right hip. I was in inpatient rehabilitation for 6 weeks. One of my pups mourned himself to passing away. He would not eat nor drink. My son brought him to me one night. He passed away in my arms in the rehab hospital. After that happened, I swore I would never leave one of them again. I have had so many other issues healthwise and just life itself that I had to put my other books on hold. I hope to get those published within the next year.

      1. Thank you!! I appreciate the encouragement. I wished I was not so "broken" with the RA, Lupus and so forth. I still feel I have a story to tell.

      2. , you do, and you may be bent, but not broken. I feel like many people my age could not have made it through what I have over the last few years (I'm an amputee). But I value my resilience. I am still here. I am still strong. I may use a prosthetic, but that change to my physical form, does not change my heart and who I really am. I'd wager your trials have not altered your core. Sending (((hugs))). - Warmly, Donna (Team Member)

    2. Yes, I thought about it several times. Having Lupus for 35 years and having Lupus Nephritis and other autoimmune diseases and still thriving sounds like a must read of inspiration for fellow advocates. Especially for newly diagnosed warriors.

      1. You should!!!! It sounds difficult, but honestly, once you get to putting those words down, it flows out of you.

      2. , That is the precise reason it's important to tell it 😀 And sometimes, it's not even about the condition, it's about the spirit with which you meet it! Yours feels indomitable <3 - Warmly, Donna (Team Member)

    3. No

      1. Someday, you may decide to. Keep it in mind. We all have a book in us... a story to tell.
