What's your biggest advocacy accomplishment this year?

Share with us a huge win for you - whether it's publishing a book, getting booked as a keynote speaker, or organizing an awareness march. Let us know. We might even compile your answers and share them in an article soon! 😀

  1. Just last week, I spoke on a panel at the first Health Summit at Advertising Week NY. I explained how even the most well-intentioned messaging can come across as insensitive or hurtful to patients, and how pharma and industry leaders can do better. The audience (mainly pharma and industry marketers) really seemed to take it all in, and hopefully they'll keep our discussion in mind when drafting their next ad copy. πŸ¦‹On stage at Ad Week NY, Jameson Fleming, Susan Dorfman, Marc Minassian, and me (Kerry Wong)

  2. Launching a nonprofit for Familial Adenomatous Polyposis, the first one dedicated to it only in the US

  3. I went back to school at age 50 and just graduated 2 years later with my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in August. πŸŽ‰ πŸ™ŒπŸΎI am so happy, grateful, and extremely blessed that GOD kept me through it all, having to navigate, Dyslexia, Lupus, Fibromyalgia, Hashimotos, Parotitis, Sjogrens, Chronic pain and etc. But I didn't give up. Thank GOD I'm done. Now I will continue to move forward to working towards licensure. Praying through it all. πŸ™πŸ½πŸ’žπŸ’œπŸ¦‹

  4. Participating in the first recognition and awareness day for my disease and receive a proclamation for recognition from the governor. Bringing more awareness to my disease and having conversation about it has been the biggest accomplishment. That was huge for me just bringing more awareness and hopefully hope to people.
