Danica Collins
Danica Collins, MS, NBC-HWC is a San Diego-based healthcare strategist, board-certified health and wellness coach, and patient advocate with nearly two decades of lived experience with type 1 diabetes. Publicly known as Danica the Diabetic, she is the founder of Dia Log, The Insulin for Your Soul, a diabetes wellness platform focused on holistic self-management through coaching, community, and actionable tools.
Danica serves as Executive Producer with The Able Channel, developing a diabetes health literacy series for both diabetics and non-diabetics. She is also Director of Health and Sports for The Advancement League and Strategic Health Advisor to Artest Management Group, where she bridges performance, recovery, and long-term wellness through storytelling and athlete partnerships.
A 2025 Black Health Connect 40 Under 40 Honoree and Social Health Awards finalist (Healthcare Collaborator), Danica is a contributor and spokesperson for the American Diabetes Association and Beyond Type 1. She has spoken at national conferences including Breakthrough T1D, HLTH, and the Health & Wellness Coaches Conference, and her work focuses on ethical health partnerships, community curation, and translating complex health information into practical, trust-building content.
