Our Health Leaders have polarized opinions on AI usage. We're curious: Do you use AI in your health advocacy? If so, how do you use it? And if you prefer not to, why?

While cosplaying as an adult, I use my job in healthcare finance to talk about how AI is the first tool ever that could end the power imbalance between us patients and healthcare. That if implemented correctly, it can breed collaboration. It’s both amazing and scary how people don’t realize this. Healthcare at all levels don’t realize or accept patients are currently implementing AI at the speed desperatation.

Since the Aurora phone system makes it IMPOSSIBLE to get an answer from a nurse, I use AI to answer about 75% of my questions and concerns now. It is Aug and I am still waiting for a nurse to call me back 9 different times now since Jan. Used AI and called DR office but can not get to a nurse, waited 24 hours for a "call back" and that has resulted to trips to ER due to waiting too long for an answer and knowing I will not get a call back. Also, can not get a DR appt if you try to call so AI is doing great for medical advice if you really want to compare.

Here's my AI statement for my podcast: "Health Hats, the Podcast, utilizes AI tools for production tasks such as editing, transcription, and content suggestions. While AI assists with various aspects, including image creation, most AI suggestions are modified. All creative decisions remain my own, with AI sources referenced as usual. Questions are welcome." I use Claude, Perplexity, Auphonic, Descript, Grammarly, DaVinci Resolve, DaVinci AI Art Generator, OpenArt AI Creator Studio

This is such a great topic. I personally have been using it to make my life easier to get messages out there. As a mom of 4 and work full time, my time is basically nonexistent. So I brain dump all my thoughts and ideas into Claude and it helps me organize it and give me ways to easily get it out to audiences who could benefit from it. For instance, I was looking for 3 tips on psoriatic arthritis to post. I dropped my blog and instagram handles in and said, based on all the content I've written in the past, what are my top 3 tips. BOOM. It gave it to me, I dropped it into a video and have it slated to post this week. It took me way less time to do this than if I would have just started from scratch.
I always put in my words, my experiences, my content and just have it help me strategize or polish it up (I mean- I don't have the best spelling or grammar, so THANK YOU AI!)
