Living With Multiple Sclerosis
Good Day Everyone,
I have been productively living with Multiple Sclerosis since 1997. This never-ending challenge was coupled with raising three children- all under 10 when I was diagnosed.
After the initial meltdown of realizing that this would be a lifetime endeavor of living with a life-altering disease for which there is no cure, it began to dawn on me that panic and stress were not my friends. In order to ensure that these two negative feelings were held in check, I came up with two personal mantras that I said each morning.
Doing this helped me to maintain a positive attitude.
One statement that I day to myself, and others, is "I have MS--it does NOT have me!"
A combination of these personal mantras, along with PRAYER, has helped me to live a positive and productive life--while living with MS for over thirty years.
I wish you all continued wellness throughout your MS Journeys.
Kind regards,
Serina (PA)
